Broncos Swept By Buckeyes

The Western Michigan Broncos lost 4-2 again to Ohio State Saturday night.

The Broncos peppered Ohio State goaltender Cal Heeter with 38 shots, but they were only able to put two shots behind him.

Ohio State jumped out to a 2-0 before Greg Squires found the back of the net with assists from Luke Witkowski and Max Campbell.

Ohio State added another goal to make it 3-1 to open the third period.

Patrick Nagorsen answered back less than three minutes later.  Derek Roehl and Greg Squires had the assists on Nagorsen’s goal.

Ohio State added the empty netter to seal the game at 4-2.

Western Michigan drops to 5-4-1 on the year, and 1-4-1-1 in the CCHA.

The Broncos will get a shot to slay the top dog as they take on Miami next weekend at Lawson Ice Arena.
