Recruit Update: 11-9

In the biggest news for the current Bronco hockey recruits, Jordan Gidaro was traded from the Alexandria Blizzard (NAHL) to the Orangeville Crushers (Central Canadian Hockey League).  Gidaro finished his tenure with Alexandrian with this stat line:  11 games-1 goal-1 assist-2 points.  Gidaro has made an early impact with Orangeville, posting a point in each of his first two games.

If you haven’t heard of the CCHL, its okay because I was also unfamiliar with it.  The CCHL has 21 teams and used to be the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL).  The league has 13 current college bound players including Gidaro.

Dennis Brown had two assists and was a +3 on the weekend as the Omaha Lancers beat Waterloo, Sioux City, and Indiana.

Nick Pisellini only started one game this past weekend for the Chicago Steel.  Pisellini stopped 31 shots in a 4-1 loss to Fargo.

Lucas Isley has missed the last six games.  He is not listed on the injury report or on the suspension list, so I’m not totally sure why he is not playing.  Maybe an influx of the flu? That would be my best guess.

Here are the future Broncos’ current stats:

Gidaro:  2 games-1 goal-1 assist-2 points (Orangeville), 11 games-1 goal-1 assist-2 points (Alexandria)

Brown:  12 games-2 goals-7 assists-9 points

Pisellini:  9 games-6 wins-3 losses-3.23 goals against average-88.7 save percentage

Isley: 17 games-13 goals-8 assists-21 points
